Sanctuary Social Care is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated Social Worker to work full-time within a Fostering Team based in Swindon. The ideal candidate will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of social work practice in Children's Services and be registered with Social Work England.
The pay rate for this locum Social Worker job is £35 per hour (Assignment rate) and is an initial 3-month contract.
Requirements of the Social Worker:
- Degree or equivalent in social work
- Current Social Work England registration
- Previous children's experience
- The successful candidate must have a sound knowledge of fostering legislation, and substantial experience of foster care practice including the assessment of potential foster carers or supervision of foster carers.
- Knowledge of fostering regulations, child care law and safeguarding issues is essential, as is the ability to make objective professional assessments of children or young people
