Sanctuary Social Care is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated Social Worker to work full-time in Bristol in a Fostering Team. The ideal candidate will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of social work practice in children's services and be registered with the HCPC.
The pay rate for this locum Social Worker job is £28 per hour (LTD Company Equivalent) and is an initial 3-month contract.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
The role will involve going out to visit family members of children on edge of care to assess whether they are able to provide care & support. Write up these assessments and present your findings/judgements.
Requirements of the Social Worker:
- Degree or equivalent in social work
- Current HCPC registration
- Significant senior level frontline experience within children's services
- Strong analytical assessment abilities across kinship, connected and SGO.
- Able to write clear, sound, assessments Solid understanding of safeguarding and challenges facing carers/children

- Confident
- Able to ask up front questions and read nuances in order to make sound assessment decisions.
- Must be able to drill down on the initial visits to ensure they are viable
