Sanctuary Social Care is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated Social Worker to work full-time in a Forensic Mental Health Hospital based in Hertfordshire. The ideal candidate will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of social work practice in Adults' Services and be registered with Social Work England.
The salary for this permanent Social Worker job is £31,250 per annum
The role involves:
Working within a multidisciplinary forensic in-patient (secure) team to ensure patients' holistic social needs are addressed within their care and treatment plans.
To produce comprehensive Mental Health Tribunal Social Circumstance reports where required in liaison with local authority representatives.
To attend CPA and other relevant meetings/reviews as required and support patients recovery pathway.
To keep carers informed and supported where indicated and ensure their views conveyed to team.
To take a lead role in discharge planning liaising with external teams and responsible authorities.
To take a lead role within the multi-disciplinary team in the safeguarding of Vulnerable Adults process.
Requirements of the Social Worker:
Degree in Social Work or Diploma in Social Work CQSW
Organised, self-motivating and ability to work independently
Flexible and willingness to respond to change
Reliability and willingness to respond positively to constructive criticism
Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
Well-developed sense of role and boundaries
Ability to manage conflict
