Sanctuary Social Care is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated Social Worker to work full-time in Northampton, within the Duty & Assessment Team. The ideal candidate will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of social work practice in children's services and be registered with the HCPC.

The salary for this permanent Social Worker job is £29,165 - £34,277 per annum.

Our Duty and Assessment service is the single point of contact for all safeguarding concerns relating to children and young people in Northamptonshire.

Professionals from a range of services that have contact with children, young people, their families and carers, collaborate to ensure immediate and prompt responses. Their combined knowledge and expertise keep children and young people in Northamptonshire safe from harm.

With a rotating duty element, we work at pace and to tight deadlines, completing robust short-term quality assessments of need, ensuring the right service provision is in place and that the child's voice is evident throughout.
We value our staff and are working to stabilise our permanent workforce and to improve practice. To help us achieve this we have an additional experienced team with us for 26 weeks to support with reducing workloads and implementing positive change.

Requirements of the Social Worker:

  • Degree or equivalent in social work
  • Current HCPC registration
  • Significant senior level frontline experience within children's services
  • Must be passionate about supporting and advocating for young people to ensure they reach their goals and have the best possible futures
