Sanctuary Social Care is currently looking for two experienced and dedicated Social Workers to work full-time in Wigan, within the Duty and Assessment Team. The ideal candidates will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of social work practice in Children's Services and be registered with Social Work England.
There are vacancies across different bases; covering the breadth of the Local Authority, working within locality social work teams who manage a range of cases to ensure the best possible outcomes for both children and their families across the borough.
The pay rate for these locum Social Worker jobs are paying £30.00 per hour (Assignment rate) and is an initial 3-month contract.
Duties:
You will be working in a busy and friendly team and will work predominantly with children in need, child protection, care proceedings and private law applications, working on a longer-term basis with children, young people and their families, providing help and support to help families make effective change.
You will ensure the delivery of a high quality and effective social work service to facilitate, empower and promote independence, strengths and assets of both individuals and local communities.
You will work in partnership with children, young people and parents, some of whom can be difficult to engage.
Requirements of the Social Workers:
Degree or equivalent in social work
Current Social Work England registration
Two years of statutory social care experience either in Duty and Assessment or a locality team
