Sanctuary Criminal Justice is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated Social Worker to work full-time in Hillingdon in a Substance Misuse Drug and Alcohol Service. The ideal candidate will be registered with Social Work England.
The pay rate for this locum Social Worker job is £30 per hour (Assignment rate) and is an initial 3-month contract.
Duties:
- To carry a caseload of service users with addictions - to assess risk, needs and support them with their recovery including supporting them to have urine drug screens
- To identify and assess under the Care Act 2014 those who appear to have care and support needs
- To act as an enquirer for s.42 safeguarding procedures
- To identify and support carers to get a Carer's Assessment
- Liaise with multi-agencies e.g. housing, police, mental health services to make sure that service users are appropriately supported

Requirements of the Social Worker:
- Degree or equivalent in social work
- Current Social Work England registration
- 2 years previous experience
