Sanctuary Social Care is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated Social Worker to work full-time within a Complex Safeguarding Team based in Rochdale. The ideal candidate will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of Social Work Practice in Children's Services and be registered with the HCPC.

The pay rate for this locum Social Worker job is £28 per hour (LTD Company Equivalent) and is an initial 3-month contract.

Duties:

  • Assessing and understanding the needs of children and young people who are at risk of, or are being, exposed to child sexual and/or child criminal exploitation, and ensuring that they are safeguarded and protected
  • Working in new ways and using bespoke tools and frameworks to get the best out of young people and their family/carers
  • Creating and providing bespoke direct work sessions and intervention plans
  • Working as part of a multi-agency team
  • Establishing and developing collaborative working relationships with other agencies and services to ensure effective service intervention and delivery
  • Delivering bespoke training to professionals, organisations, and young people as part of the prevention strategy

Requirements of the Social Worker:

  • Degree or equivalent in social work
  • Current HCPC registration
  • Significant senior level frontline experience within children's services
  • At least 2 years' experience in statutory children's social work.
