Sanctuary Personnel, a leading recruitment company to the private and public sector has a locum vacancy for a Social Worker to work full time based in Tylorstown, within the Complex Disabilities Team.
The pay rate for this locum Social Worker is £33 per hour (Assignment rate) and is a 6-month contract.
Main Duties:
- Have active involvement with long-term cases.
- Work very closely, in a multi-disciplinary way, with members of the Specialist Learning Disability Health Teams and other professionals.
- Support service users living in a range of settings, e.g. in residential/Supported Living placements and those living within the community with their families.
- Involved in undertaking Assessments, Reviews and Care Planning and need to have the enthusiasm to play an active role in delivering a high-quality service to our service users.
- Protect service users from abuse and neglect and where intervention is required you will be expected to provide a proportionate and timely response working in partnership with our Safeguarding Team
- Work within the legislative framework (e.g. Social Services and Wellbeing (Wales) Act 2014, Mental Capacity Act 2015) along with demonstrating an understanding of risk management and how to work in a strength-based, outcome focused way.
- At present, Team members are predominantly Agile Working and also have access to hot desks in the team room at Ty Elai. Agile Working equipment and IT support is provided to all staff.
Requirements of the Social Worker:
- Degree or equivalent in social work
- Current Social Work England registration
- Significant frontline experience in Adults’ Services
