Sanctuary Social Care is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated Social Worker to work full-time in a Community Team in Swindon. The ideal candidate will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of social work practice in Adults' Services and be registered with Social Work England.

The pay rate for this locum Social Worker job is £30 to £32 per hour (Assignment rate) and is an initial 3-month contract.

Experienced Registered Social Workers required to work flexibly in the community, to assist us in managing the increased workload associated with Covid-19. The work will primarily involve assessing people discharged from hospital in the community - where possible by telephone but home visits will be required in some cases. All our staff are currently based from home, therefore locum staff will need to live reasonably close to Swindon to be able to complete home visits at short notice. We need people who have current experience in Statutory work with Adults, fully proficient with MCA and capable of thinking and working independently. Experience with Hospital work will be an advantage (particularly the Home First model) but not essential. Hours can be flexible between 8am and 8pm but predominantly 9-5pm. Swindon Vision and Priorities: By 2030, Swindon will have all of the positive characteristics of a British city with one of the UK's most successful economies; a low-carbon environment with compelling cultural, retail and leisure opportunities and excellent infrastructure. It will be a model of well managed housing growth which supports and improves new and existing communities. Swindon will be physically transformed with existing heritage and landmarks complemented by new ones that people who live, work and visit here will recognise and admire. It will remain, at heart, a place of fairness and opportunity where people can aspire to and achieve prosperity, supported by strong civic and community leadership.

Requirements of the Social Worker:
