Sanctuary Social Care is currently looking for experienced and dedicated Social Workers to work full-time in Bradford. The ideal candidates will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of social work practice in Children's Services and be registered with Social Work England.

Vacancies across 2 localities: South (Central Bradford) and West (Farcliffe area).

  • Social Worker (Level 2): £30,507 - £32,878 pa (Pro-rata for Part Time posts)
  • Senior Social Worker (Level 3): £34,788 - £37,849 pa (Pro-rata for Part Time posts)

Duties:

  • To contribute towards the provision of a Social Services in community, residential, alternative and Health Care settings.
  • To provide a social work service to Children, Young People and Families, including assessment, case planning and reviews.
  • To provide a social work service within the policy and practice procedures of the Department
  • Undertake preventative work with families, providing them with support material aid and financial assistance to diminish the need for care or accommodation.
  • Investigate complaints of neglect and ill-treatment of children.
  • Provision of accommodation.
  • Receive children committed to the care of the Authority and use Child Assessment and Emergency Protection Orders.
  • Accept responsibility for and supervision of children in care and set up reviews of such cases at defined intervals.
  • Undertaken investigations into prospective family, friends and foster parents and supervise fostering arrangements in both private and Local Authority approved cases.
  • Give evidence in the Courts in care and other proceedings which the Authority may institute, including the presentation of reports.
  • To undertake training to ensure career development.

Requirements:

  • Enthusiasm and commitment to Positive Social Work Practice
  • A resilient "can do" approach
  • Experience of working with vulnerable young people and their families
  • Be registered with Social Work England
  • Have a professional Social Work Qualification
  • A commitment to CPD
  • Full driving licence & access to a car (unless a disability prevents this)
