Sanctuary Social Care is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated Social Worker to work full-time in Mansfield in the Children with Disabilities Service. The ideal candidate will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of social work practice in Children's Services and be registered with Social Work England.
The pay rate for this locum Social Worker job is £35 per hour (Assignment rate) and is an initial 3-month contract.
Duties of the Social Worker:
- The worker carries out all of the statutory social work duties and responsibilities for children and young people with a permanent and substantial disability
- Following the receipt of a new referral the CDS undertake Child and Family Assessments (including S47 enquiries) carry out specialised assessments for the child
- To work with the child (and family as appropriate) following assessment who are subject of a child protection plan, child in need plan or care plan (Looked After Child).
Requirements of the Social Worker:
- Degree or equivalent in social work
- Current Social Work England registration
- Significant senior level frontline experience within Children's Services
