Sanctuary Social Care is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated Social Worker to work full-time in Trafford, within the Children in Need Team. The ideal candidate will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of social work practice in Children's Services and be registered with Social Work England.
The pay rate for this locum Social Worker job is £25.02 per hour (Assignment rate) and is an initial 3-month contract.
Duties:
- To provide an efficient and effective social work service to children in need and their families
- Providing support so that vulnerable children can remain within their families wherever possible.
- Must have a thorough understanding of key legislation, regulations, guidance and frameworks as well as experience of multi-agency working in relation to meeting children, young people and family needs paying full regard to information sharing protocols and best practice
Requirements of the Social Worker:
- Degree or equivalent in social work
- Current Social Work England registration
- Significant senior level frontline experience within Children's Services
- Able to manage a complex case load on an area team including case proceedings, court work, child in need and child protection experience of 3 years or more.
- Can adopt an innovative approach to supporting children's social care and ensure continuity of care to our vulnerable service users.
- Must be experienced in undertaking child and family assessments and have significant experience of working with children and young people in care as a practitioner.
