Social Worker – Cared For Children Team – Ashton-under-Lyne, UK – £39 Hourly – Ongoing, Full Time
This is an exciting opportunity for four experienced Agency Social Workers to join Tameside’s Cared For Children Service. Based at the historic Ashton Old Library with the flexibility to work from home in a hybrid model, you’ll be diving into meaningful work that truly makes a difference. We are looking for enthusiastic individuals who have experience working with children in the care of the local authority and are driven to help achieve fantastic outcomes alongside young people. This full-time role starts as soon as possible and is initially for three months with the potential for extension.

What you will do:
- Support and manage a caseload of children and young people in care, ensuring each receives the support they need to thrive.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues and other professionals to develop and implement care plans.
- Provide guidance and support to children and young people, helping them navigate their individual challenges and celebrate their successes.
- Attend reviews, meetings, and court proceedings to present clear and concise reports and provide your expert input.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of each case, ensuring all required documentation is completed in a timely manner.
