Sanctuary Social Care is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated Social Worker to work full-time within an Assessment and Intervention Team based in Southend. The ideal candidate will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of social work practice in Children's Services and be registered with Social Work England.
The pay rate for this locum Social Worker job is £28 per hour (Assignment rate) and is an initial 3-month contract.
Main Duties:
- Provide professional and comprehensive casework, assessment and analysis skills to a caseload of children/young people and their families within the busy Assessment and Intervention Team.
- Provide an efficient and cost effective service to children, young people and their families, ensuring that the needs of the children and their parents/carers are professionally assessed and the family's needs are supported allowing change to be embedded.
- Investigate, evaluate and analyse information relevant to the family and case.
- Demonstrate clarity in your assessments as well as being able to provide evidence and hypothesis within your conclusions that will then formulate realistic SMART plans.
- Ensure adequate recording that evidences practice and informs the child of their life journey.
Requirements of the Social Worker:
- Degree or equivalent in social work
- Current Social Work England registration
- Significant senior level frontline experience within Children's Services
