Sanctuary Personnel, an innovative and committed recruitment agency has a new permanent position available for an experienced Social Worker within the Assessment & Duty team to work full time based in Dudley.

The salary for this permanent Social Worker role is up to £45.890per annum.

Main duties:

  • Contribute to the delivery of an effective children’s social care service as part of a social work team, improving outcomes for children and young people.
  • To hold and manage a varied caseload reflecting the function of the team in accordance with relevant policies, procedures and legislation.
  • To identify and assess levels of risk and need and to deliver protective or supportive services for children at risk, in need and/or looked after.
  • Ensure that reports are up to date, of a high quality and submitted according to appropriate timescales.
  • To attend a range of meetings including child protection case conference meetings and court hearings to represent the local authority.
  • Contribute through team meetings and organisational events to the development of the service.
  • Ensure that expenditure on cases is properly authorised and recorded, in accordance with departmental procedures.
  • Undertake direct work with children, young people and their families in line with agreed care plans.
  • All work is child focussed, effective and in line with legislation and practice.


 Requirements of The Social Worker Job.

  • Degree or equivalent in Social Work.
  • Current Social Work England Registration.
  • Experience within Children’s/Adults Services.
  • Full Drivers Licence and have use of a vehicle.
