Sanctuary Social Care is currently looking for experienced and dedicated Social Workers to work full-time within an Adults Team based in Medway. The ideal candidates will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of social work practice in Adults' Services and be registered with Social Work England.
The pay rate for these locum Social Worker roles are £30 per hour (Assignment rate) and are an initial 3-month contracts.
Responsibilities:
- To ensure compliance with the professional code of conduct and fulfil obligations under the relevant legislation.
- To be fully responsible for managing a service caseload including customers with complex needs.
- To be responsible for accepting referrals, undertaking screening, and carrying out assessment of needs for customers.
- To maintain the professional qualifications, memberships and registrations required to perform the role.
- To develop and maintain effective working relationships with all partners (both internal and external) in order to ensure that the team can deliver a co-ordinated, timely and appropriate service to the customer.
- To promote and participate in good team working practices and to demonstrate these whenever possible.
Requirements of the Social Worker:
- Degree or equivalent in social work
- Current Social Work England registration
- Significant senior level frontline experience within Adults' Services
- Continuing Healthcare National Framework
- Extensive experience in completing CHC checklists, attending DSTs, including MDT and knowledge of ratification process.
- Skills in report writing for dispute papers and joint solutions.
- Experience of successful challenges.
- Knowledge and experience in completing assessments under the care act, including the provision of services.
