Sanctuary Social Care is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated Social Worker to work full-time in the East Riding of Yorkshire, within the Adults Assessment Team. The ideal candidate will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of social work practice in Adults' Services and be registered with Social Work England.
The pay rate for this locum Social Worker job is £21.23 per hour (Assignment rate) and is an initial 3-month contract.
Duties:
- To provide information to individuals and their carers about all services for which they may be eligible.
- To undertake assessment of individuals and their carer's needs, dealing in particular with the more complex cases presented, and undertaking risk assessments i.e. high risk of breakdown, including Adult Protection significant issues such as substance abuse, severe mental health problems and who present danger to self or others.
- Within time scales determined by legal and procedural requirements and/or agreed with the individual or group, review the effectiveness of the planned intervention.
- To consult with the Team Manager and other managers as required by legal, policy and procedural guidelines so that a Personal Financial Assessment can be undertaken.
Requirements of the Social Worker:
- Degree or equivalent in social work
- Current Social Work England registration
- Significant senior level frontline experience within Adults' Services
- Ability to develop strong partnership working and promote effective ways of working together with adults at risk
