Sanctuary Personnel, an innovative and committed recruitment agency is currently looking for a dedicated and experienced Social Worker to work based in Southend-on-Sea, within the Adult East Locality Team.
The salary for this permanent Social Worker role is £38,000 per annum.
Main Duties:
Support citizens across Southend-on-Sea with the aim to offer the appropriate support in the right place at the right time.
Understand individual’s strengths, assets, and wishes to maximise their potential for independence, recognising the importance of assuming that the individual is best placed to know their own outcomes, goals, and wellbeing.
Undertake assessments and to support individuals to develop personalised care plans that take account of community assets, informal networks, universal services and other support and provision which reduces dependency.
Work with health and social care colleagues and other partners by engaging in innovative practice and a visionary approach to creating a better Southend.
Apply a strengths-based, asset-based approach to assessment, care and planning review.
Support unqualified staff with their development as required, including student social workers on placement.
Requirements of the Social Worker:
Degree or equivalent in social work.
Current Social Work England registration.
6 months qualified social worker with experience in frontline social work in a relevant setting.
Undertake and pass additional qualifications.
It is required that a practitioner will practice on the required rota, dependent on business need. These qualifications are Approved Mental Health Practitioner, Practice Educator, Best Interest Assessor.
Experience of applying the Care Act (2014), Mental Capacity Act (2005), and managing adult safeguarding enquiries.
