Sanctuary Personnel, an innovative and committed recruitment agency is currently looking for a dedicated and experienced Social Worker to work part-time based in Southend-on-Sea, within the Adult West Locality Team.

The salary for this permanent Social Worker role is £32,234 - £37,890 per annum.

Working Hours:

  • Wednesday, Thursday, Friday.

  • 22 hours per week.

Main Duties:

  • Develop person-centred pathways and practice which is enabling, supportive, and developing communities to become more resilient.

  • Delivery of person-centred care assessments and supporting adults to remain as independent as possible.

  • Work alongside health colleagues to prevent adults from being admitted to long-term residential care and supporting interdependence with the community.

  • Support adults and their carers as a ‘change agent’ to build on their strengths, assets, and abilities to self-manage.

Requirements of the Social Worker:

  • Degree or equivalent in social work.

  • Current Social Work England registration.

  • 6 months qualified social worker with experience in Adults Knowledge of the Care Act, Mental Capacity Act, self-directed support, LiquidLogic, NHS Continuing Healthcare and experience of undertaking safeguarding investigations.

  • Good understanding and a strong willingness and determination to deliver on the national Learning Disability agenda.
