Sanctuary Social Care is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated Social Worker to work full-time in an Adults Waiting List Project Team based in Wandsworth. The ideal candidate will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of Social Work practice in Adult Services and be registered with the HCPC.
The pay rate for this locum Social Worker job is £28 per hour (LTD Company Equivalent) and this role offers a contract until the end of March 2020.
About the role:
- The locality teams in Wandsworth have a current waiting list for people waiting for assessments. Currently there is a 5 months waiting list, the aim is to get this to a 28 day waiting list as soon as possible. The aim of the waiting list project workers is to assess for needs, and where people meet criteria, to put in place support, go to panel, and complete a 6 week review. The waiting list project workers are expected to close at least 2-3 cases a week , and be allocated 2-3 new cases a week for assessment. The workers will not currently be completing any safeguarding's or duty (apart from in emergencies), and their main aim will be to complete assessments.
Requirements of the Social Worker:
- Degree or equivalent in Social Work
- Current HCPC registration
- Significant senior level frontline experience within Adult Services
- Experience of fast passed assessments, or project work, and will be able to start relatively quickly after a short induction period
