Sanctuary Social Care is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated Social Worker to work within an Adults Learning Disabilities Team based in Manchester. The ideal candidate will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of Social Work practice in Adult Services and be registered with the Social Work England.
The pay rate for this locum Social Worker job is £25.02 per hour (LTD Company Equivalent).
About the role:
- You will be working within a small specialist city wide team consisting of 4 social workers.
- The team is based within the wider learning disability service and together we are moving towards integration.
- You would be required to work with Manchester Citizens who may live across the country within specialist care provision.
- The eligibility criteria for Forensic Citizens is that the have a diagnosed Learning Disability (IQ of under 70) and at some point in their life they will have been subject to being detained under Section 3 of the Mental Health Act.
- You would be required to undertake Care Act assessments, risk management work, support planning, work in accordance with the Ministry of Justice processes, attend Multi Disciplinary Teams, Care and Treatment Reviews, Care Programme Approaches, Section 117 discharge planning meetings, hospital managers meetings and Mental Health tribunals.
Requirements of the Social Worker:
- Degree or equivalent in Social Work.
- Current Social Work England registration.
- Significant frontline experience within Adult Services.
- Experience of working under the Mental Health Act is also essential
