Sanctuary Personnel, a leading and award-winning recruitment agency is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated Social Worker to work based in Harlow, within the Adult Learning Disabilities Team.

The pay rate for this locum Social Worker role is £207 per day (Assignment rate) and is a 3-month contract.

Main Duties:

  • To assessment vulnerable adults under the care act 2014.
  • To complete mental capacity assessments and best interest meetings around tenancy issues.
  • To work with service users that have a history of hoarding.
  • To work with housing, health and other stakeholders to reduce the amount of hoarding in RBKC.
  • To work with tenant that hoard to try to accept help to maintain their tenancies and promote their health and independence.
  • To work with housing colleagues and cleaning services, fire service to support people to reduce risk in their homes.
  • Support tenants and service users with hoarding issues.
  • Report to the Financial Inclusion and Support Manger within housing who will integrate the worker in to the team; to advise and assist with identifying tenants that hoard, safeguarding issues and those that need care act assessments to support them to successfully maintain their tenancies and live independently in the community.

Requirements of the Social Worker:

  • Degree or equivalent in social work.
  • Current Social Work England registration.
  • 2-3 years of post-qualifying experience within frontline adult social work.
