Sanctuary Social Care is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated Social Worker to work part-time in Havering, within the Adoption Support Team. The ideal candidate will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of social work practice in Children's Services and be registered with Social Work England.
The pay rate for this locum Social Worker job is £28 - £32 per hour (Assignment rate) and is an initial 3-month contract. This role consists of working 18 hours per week.
Duties:
- Contribute to the delivery of an effective Adoption Support Service as part of a social work team, improving outcomes for children and young people.
- Manage caseloads of adoption families in need of specialist support utilising specialist knowledge, training and therapeutic skills to provide or source appropriate interventions.
- Undertaking comprehensive adoption support plans and ensure delivery of the actions agreed within the plans
- Apply for funding from ASF and other bodies to enable identified support packages to be delivered
- Work with colleagues across Adopt London East to ensure adopters in need of support are identified and that all professionals work together to provide a unified service.
Requirements of the Social Worker:
- Degree or equivalent in social work
- Current Social Work England registration
- Significant senior level frontline experience within Children's Services
