Sanctuary Social Care is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated Social Worker to work full-time in Havering, within the Access Team. The ideal candidate will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of social work practice in Adults' Services and be registered with Social Work England.
The pay rate for this locum Social Worker job is £30 per hour (Assignment rate) and is an initial 3- month contract.
Duties of the Social Worker:
- Deal with urgent referrals ( which includes, care assessments, reviews ( including unscheduled reviews) placements/respite welfare visits following on from safeguarding triaging.
- Hold cases up to 4 - 6 weeks to enable them to review care packages they put in place.
- To complete urgent referrals which may require placement or managing customers with complex care needs ( e.g. - advanced dementia and/or chronic illness).
Requirements of the Social Worker:
- Degree or equivalent in social work
- Current Social Work England registration
- Significant senior level frontline experience within Adults' Services
- Knowledge of social care practice and legislation's (e.g. Care Act 2014, Equality legislation's, Mental health Act, safeguarding and making safeguarding personal, GDPR and Data Protection policies
- Experience of working in a fast paced environment such as HAT.
- Experience ( preferable but not essential) of using social care database (Liquid Logic)
- Excellent written and communication skills
- Ability to prioritise case load and take on urgent referrals on a daily basis
