Sanctuary Personnel, an innovative and committed recruitment agency is currently looking for a dedicated and experienced Social Work Team Manager to work based in Barking and Dagenham, within the Assessment Team.

The salary for this permanent Social Work Team Manager role is £57,866 per annum.

Main Duties:

  • Offer evidence-based interventions and support to vulnerable children and families who are receiving assessments, are on a plan, or in Care.
  • Be responsible for delivering services to children and young people through the operational management and supervision of social work teams.
  • Focus on working with MASH colleagues and managing case allocations, having casework oversight including auditing of cases.
  • Offer reflective supervision and support the progress and professional development of each member of your team.
  • Be able to demonstrate what excellent social work practice is, together with sound safeguarding knowledge.
  • Oversee all casework undertaken by your team.

Requirements of the Social Work Team Manager:

  • Degree or equivalent in social work.
  • Current Social Work England registration.
  • Have completed ASYE. 
  • Recent post-qualification experience within frontline social work.
  • Passionate, caring and dedicated.
  • Have excellent analytical and writing skills and the ability to incorporate the Strengthening Families Model in your management role which builds on families’ strengths with a focus on protective factors.
