Sanctuary Personnel, an award-winning and renowned Recruitment Agency is looking for an experienced and dedicated Social Work Team Manager to fill a full-time role based in Sunderland, within the Adult’s Complex Team.
The pay rate for this locum Team Manager job is £263.04 per day and is an initial 3-month contract.
Duties:
- Represent, organise and support an Adult Social Work team in order to deliver the service efficiently, to standard and within budget
- Ensure effective performance management for the service within the responsibility of the post
- Provide leadership, direction and professional oversight on all issues relating to Adult Social Care
- Provide high-quality supervision to individuals and teams
- Promote and support strengths-based practice and approaches
- Provide day-to-day management and support to a frontline social work team
- Work with key partners in order to ensure effective service delivery
- Comply with health and safety rules, regulations and legislation
Requirements of the Team Manager:
- Hold a Social Work qualification or equivalent i.e. MA or BA in Social Work, Dip SW CQSW or CSS
- Registered on Social Work England
- Management experience
- Possess a working knowledge of legislative and statutory requirements to work within the framework of the Care Act 2014
- Have a thorough and comprehensive understanding of the Safeguarding Adults agenda and be highly skilled in Risk Management
- Be able to communicate effectively verbally, in person or over the telephone, and in writing to share and obtain information
- Be able to effectively use a PC to prepare documents, record information or input data
- Be able to manage budgets, pay attention to detail and make decisions and reach conclusions
- Be able to meet the travel requirements of the post
- Be able to work outside of normal working hours (Monday - Thursday 08:30 am – 17:15 pm, Friday 08:30 am - 16.45 pm) to meet the needs of the service
