Sanctuary Personnel, a leading recruitment company to the private and public sector has a locum vacancy for a Social Work Senior Practitioner to work full-time within a Long Term Team based in Newcastle.
The pay rate for this locum Senior Practitioner role is £31.50 - £32 per hour (Assignment rate) and is a 3-month contract.
Main responsibilities/duties:
- Carry out Core Assessments, pre-birth assessments, risk assessments
- Carry out Section 47 Child protection investigations
- Write Statements for court
- Complete Section 7 and 37 reports for court
- Represent the authority in court to give evidence
- Carry out home visits for monitoring purposes and to safeguard children
- Keep up to date case recordings
- Convening and chairing core group meetings
- Liaise with other professionals
- Carry out joint investigations and interviews with the police
- Initiate and see through care proceedings
- Implement and review Care Plans
- Supervise contact
- Write case conference reports
- Attend case conferences and strategy meetings
- Complete Child in Need plans
Requirements of the Senior Practitioner:
- Degree or equivalent in social work
- Current Social Work England registration
- Recent qualified experience working as a Social Worker/Senior Practitioner
