Sanctuary Social Care is looking for an experienced and dedicated Placement Officer to work full-time in Slough. The ideal candidate will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of Social Work Practice in Children's Services and be registered with Social Work England.
The salary for this permanent Placement Officer job is £23,576- £28,690 per annum.
Job Purpose/Summary:
As a Placement Officer you will be responsible for managing all referrals and taking care of quality assurance to make sure a placement meets its assessed needs in a timely manner.
You will be liaise to ensure SMART outcomes for IPA are developed before placement and you will be expected to respond to all operational requests in a timely manner.
You will be an effective negotiator who can arrange placement and achieve best value supporting colleagues to understand the relative strengths and weaknesses of any expression of interest.
You will be an effective communicator who can manage complex situations and multiple demands proactively.
Requirements of the Placement Officer:
Degree or equivalent in social work
Must be educated to A/Level or Equivalent
Current Social Work England registration
Significant experience within a similar role
Experience of two years working within Children's or Adults Social Care or equivalent service sectors
