Sanctuary Personnel, an innovative and committed recruitment agency is currently looking for a dedicated and experienced Social Work Team Manager to work based in Hillingdon, within the Fostering Team.

The salary for this permanent Social Work Team Manager role is £46,000 per annum.

Main Duties:

  • Lead, motivate, and guide two Team Manager to in turn support their teams of experienced Supervising Social Workers, ensuring outstanding care and the best possible outcomes for children and safeguarding principles are embedded in their practice.
  • Support the Operations and Registered Managers in continuing to provide an efficient, child focused service whilst also driving continuous support.
  • Mixture of home and office-based working.
  • Ensure all records and data are completed within set deadlines and to a high standard by all staff members.
  • Liaise closely with the recruitment and duty teams and fulfil specific responsibilities in relation to foster carer recruitment and assessment, referrals, and placements.
  • Have innovative ideas with regards to recruitment and events and actively partake with the organisation of such events and outcomes.
  • Maintain foster carer learning and development and review and bring about change where beneficial.
  • Continual supervision of the staff team and seeking to continually improve working practices.

Requirements of the Social Work Team Manager:

  • Degree or equivalent in social work.
  • Current Social Work England registration.
  • Recent post-qualifying experience within frontline social work, including experience as Social Work Manager within the Independent Fostering Sector.
  • Excellent knowledge of fostering legislation, policies, and procedures.
  • Strong leadership skills.
  • Ability to motivate a team.
  • Excellent communicator with ability to form strong relationships internally and externally.
  • Highly organised with a keen eye for detail.
  • Highly literate.
  • Full driving licence and access to personal vehicle.
  • Prepared to travel across the region.
