Sanctuary Personnel, a leading recruitment company to the private and public sector has a locum vacancy for a Social Work Deputy Team Manager to work full time based in Waltham Forest, within the Fostering Team.
The pay rate for this locum Social Work Deputy Team Manager is £38 per hour (Assignment rate) and is a 1-month contract.
Main Duties:
- Work within the Fostering Service, which is responsible for all aspects of recruitment, assessment, supervision and support to approved foster carers, connected carers and private foster carers.
- Assessment and support service to provide consistency in support that is provided to foster carers.
- Be a member of a positive ‘fostering family’ culture in Waltham Forest, where staff are very supportive of each other.
- Lead workers in the practice support group model and will be involved in further developing innovations such as the Mockingbird Family Model and Virtual Reality Project Waltham Forest is involved in.
- Monitor and drive performance and good practice at all levels.
- Provide a cohesive support and challenge to our foster carers and to ensure that the children cared for by Waltham Forest receive quality care in a safe and stable family environment.
Requirements of the Social Work Deputy Team Manager:
- Degree or equivalent in social work
- Current Social Work England registration
- Significant frontline experience in Children’s Services
- Be highly conversant and have in depth knowledge of relevant legislation and experience of working in children’s services.
- Be enthusiastic and highly committed to deputising the Fostering Team Manager, supervising staff and working closely with the Advanced Practitioner in the Team
