Sanctuary Personnel, a leading recruitment company to the private and public sector has a locum vacancy for a Social Work Best Interest Assessor to work based in Greenwich, within the Health & Adults Team.
The pay rate for this locum Best Interest Assessor job is £36.99 per hour (Assignment rate) and it is an initial 1-month contract.
Duties:
- Undertake Mental Capacity Assessments and Best Interests Assessments of people Living in the community, a care home or hospital setting
- Enable people to experience personalised, integrated care, and support them to maintain their independence and wellbeing, cope with change, attain the outcomes they want and need, understand and manage risk, and participate in the life of their communities
- Reach decisions on whether arrangements for the care and treatment of a person living in the community, a care home or hospital requires authorisation under Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards
Requirements of the Best Interest Assessor:
- Degree or equivalent in social work
- Current Social Work England registration
- Significant senior level frontline experience within Adults' or Children’s Services
- Previous experience working as a BIA is essential
