Sanctuary Personnel, an innovative and committed recruitment agency has a job based in Camberley for a Social Work Assistant Team Manager to work within the Adult Locality Team.

As the post holder of this role, you will receive a competitive salary of £27,500 per annum.

Requirements of the Assistant Team Manager:

  • Degree or equivalent in social work
  • Current Social Work England registration
  • A valid Driving Licence and have access to a car
  • Able to demonstrate a high level of understanding and commitment to the personalisation agenda and be able to demonstrate an applied knowledge of Adult Social Care legislation including the Mental Capacity Act and the NHS Continuing Healthcare National Framework
  • Be an excellent communicator and demonstrate the skills and ability to manage and support the day to day running of a busy, dynamic team effectively prioritising daily challenges and expectations
  • Confident in making sound decisions that respond flexibly and quickly to changing needs that arise in a high pressure locality team environment
  • Be able to develop effective partnership relationships with individuals, carers and families and positive relationships with professional health staff both within and outside the locality team
  • Significant post qualification experience, including some management experience in a social care setting, and be able to demonstrate good understanding of both the health and social care agendas
  • Be able demonstrate evidence of providing effective professional supervision to less experienced colleagues
  • Be able to demonstrate an applied and effective knowledge of safeguarding vulnerable adults' procedures and be able to evidence this
  • An understanding and commitment to supporting carers and a demonstrable commitment to providing management that supports and promotes Surrey County Council's equality and diversity policy
  • Completed any post qualification practice or training requirements
  • Competent IT skills and be able and willing to learn to use a variety of software systems
  • Willingness and ability to travel across Surrey in accordance with the demands of the work and the job profile
