Sanctuary Social Care is currently looking for a Social Work Assistant to work in Gillingham, Kent on a full-time basis, within the Fostering Team.
The salary for this role is £22,500 per annum plus essential car allowance of £1,150 dependent upon experience. Upon agreement and subject to conditions, following successful probation period, you will make a supported application to the Open University to commence the social work degree through an apprenticeship.
Duties:
- Work closely with the social work team and to build an understanding of the role of supervising social worker.
- To provide support for a reduced caseload of foster families under the support and guidance of a qualified social worker.
- To provide various types of support to the fostering team as required in line with national standards and agency policies so that foster placements are stable and the welfare of children and foster families remain the priority.
Requirements of the Social Work Assistant:
