Sanctuary Personnel, a committed and competitive recruitment agency is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated Social Services Physiotherapist to work full-time based in Dudley, within the Promote Independence Team.

The pay rate for this locum Social Services Physiotherapist job is £28 per hour (Assignment rate) and is an ongoing contract.

Shift Pattern:

  • Monday – Friday
  • 08:00 am – 19:00 pm
  • The service may develop into a 7 day a week service with reduced cover weekends and Bank holidays

Duties:

  • Work within the multi disciplinary team to provide specialist skills in the assessment, implementation and evaluation of treatment in order to promote independence, well being and choice for people of all ages with a disability or long term condition
  • Moving and handling will be a core component of this role
  • Be accountable for and promote equal opportunity, diversity and community cohesion to meet Council, Directorate and Service objectives
  • Have a responsibility not only for their own behaviour, but also for others regarding equality of opportunity
  • Participate in a Performance Review and Development meeting and undertake a plan of training where necessary

Requirements of the Social Services Physiotherapist:

  • Degree or equivalent within Physiotherapy/HCPC registered as a Physiotherapist
  • Recent post qualifying experience working as a Physiotherapist/previous NHS experience
  • Be flexible in their approach and undertake other duties that are commensurate with post holder’s level, wherever they may be, to achieve the objectives of the Directorate
  • Meet the requirements of the professional regulator and to uphold the reputation of the profession and the Council
  • Be aware of carers needs and offer carers assessments as per Care Act legislation
  • Have a full valid driving licence and use of vehicle insured for business purposes or must be able to make efficient and effective travel arrangements as required by the post
