Sanctuary Health is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated Social Services Occupational Therapist to work in Okehampton on a full-time basis. The ideal candidate will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of Occupational Therapy and be registered with the HCPC.
The pay rate for this locum Occupational Therapist job is £30 per hour (Assignment rate) and is an ongoing contract.
About the role:
- Complete OT Assessments and identify packages of care/equipment/adaptations needed to meet eligible, unmet needs for people of working age with mental health difficulties and disabilities and older people.
- Conduct Mental Capacity Act Assessments as part of work to understand when people can make their own decisions or when Best Interest decisions need to be applied.
- Workers need experience of Care First 6, Devon County Council policies and procedures and extensive experience of completing Care Act Assessments, moving and handling assessments, adaptations and equipment recommendations.
- Predominantly working from home although Okehampton Hospital is the office base. Clients will be in the area of Okehampton, North Tawton, Moretonhampstead and Hatherleigh
Requirements of the Occupational Therapist:
- A Diploma of the College of Occupational Therapists or BSc Occupational Therapy/ any Occupational Therapy qualification recognised by the World Federation of Occupational Therapists
- Current registration with Health Professions Council
- HCPC registered as an Occupational Therapist
- Car driver
