Sanctuary Health is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated Social Services Occupational Therapist to work in Adaptations/Reablement Team based in Milton Keynes (some home working) a full-time basis. The ideal candidate will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of Occupational Therapy and be registered with the HCPC.
The pay rate for this locum Occupational Therapist job is £35-£38 per hour (Assignment rate) and is an ongoing contract.
Duties of the Occupational Therapist:
- To work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team in order to identify and respond to the social care needs of residents, enabling them to live as independently as possible within their communities by providing suitable occupational therapy services.
- The role involves visiting eligible individuals in their homes to assess their current level of functional ability and to make recommendations to maintain/improve independence and quality of life. Interventions will include advice, the provision of assistive equipment and/or the provision of adaptations to the home.
- The role will also involve making sure that support plans are developed and implemented that ensures the residents safety, well-being and independence in order to lead a fulfilled life.
- The post holder will need to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with all members of the multidisciplinary team and other services within Milton Keynes Council, as well as outside agencies to achieve successful outcomes for the resident.
Requirements of the Occupational Therapist:
- Degree or equivalent within Occupational Therapy
- HCPC registered as an Occupational Therapist
- Recent experience either pre or post qualification
- Must be a car driver
