The pay rate for this locum Social Services Occupational Therapist job is £125 per case and is an ongoing contract.

As self-employed independent practitioners, you will work flexibly from home, accessing offices for printing or scanning, there will be no expectation for office-based working in this role.

Requirements of the Social Services Occupational Therapist:

  • Degree or equivalent within Occupational Therapy and HCPC registered
  • Recent NHS experience either pre or post qualification
  • Be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 (fully vaccinated or will be fully vaccinated by November 11th 2021)
  • Be a competent and effective Independent Practitioner, you will need to be committed to a minimum number of cases per month, using your professional practice, knowledge and expertise whilst also being able to work autonomously with confidence
  • Be a passionate professional in demonstrating expert and effective practice ability from routine to complex situations
  • Significant experience of Social Care
  • Be mobile and able to travel throughout the County of Essex
  • Driving licence and a car is essential

Shift Pattern:

  • Whilst flexible working is encourage, which can include outside your normal Monday – Friday 09:00 am – 17:00 pm, you will need to be able to balance this flexibility against the service demands and respond to emails and phone calls in a timely manner

Duties:

  • Seek and source your own independent clinical supervision as a self-employed worker
  • Carry out fast paced, discreet pieces of work, managing your own work to the highest standard and with the utmost competence
  • Managing a caseload and working collaboratively with statutory and non-statutory/voluntary agencies ensuring a joined-up approach is expected
  • Keep updating your own training and development as per HCPC requirements and any training that IWT asks you to attend
  • Be allocated no less than six assessment or reviews per month and this will not exceed 40 assessment or reviews per month
