Sanctuary Personnel, an award-winning and renowned Recruitment Agency is looking for an experienced and dedicated Social Services Occupational Therapist to work in Portsmouth on a full-time basis (might consider part time), within the Discharge to Assess Team.

The pay rate for this locum Social Services Occupational Therapist job is £32 per hour (Assignment rate) and is an initial 6-month contract.

Duties:

  • Assess a client's needs in order to enable a safe discharge and identify the need for further interventions
  • Ensure clients remain functionally optimised whilst on the unit
  • Establish moving and handling care plans and support care staff to facilitate these
  • Establish the need for, and arrange, the provision of any equipment or adaptations required to enable a safe discharge

Requirements of the Social Services Occupational Therapist:

  • Degree or equivalent within Occupational Therapy
  • HCPC registered as an Occupational Therapist
  • Recent NHS experience either pre or post qualification
  • Understand the clients usual daily routine, establish their current functional baseline and provide occupational engagement in order to improve and maintain functional ability
