Sanctuary Health is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated Social Services Occupational Therapist to work in Kingston on a full-time basis. The ideal candidate will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of Occupational Therapy and be registered with the HCPC.
The pay rate for this locum Occupational Therapist job is £30-£32 per hour (Assignment rate) and is an ongoing contract.
About the role:
- The Occupational Therapist provides specialist assessments and intervention planning to maximise functional independence in activities of daily living within the homes of adults in the community with complex disability needs. This includes the prescription of specialist disability equipment and minor home adaptations and making recommendations for major adaptations to service users' homes including the Disabled Facilities Grant process.
- The post holder will also be required to carry out Complex Moving & Handling Risk Assessments, write detailed Personal Handling Plans, complete recommendations for rehousing on disability grounds reports and / Void Property Assessments
Requirements of the Occupational Therapist:
- Degree or equivalent within Occupational Therapy
- HCPC registered as an Occupational Therapist
- Recent NHS experience either pre or post-qualification
- 2 years experience
