Sanctuary Health is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated Social Services Occupational Therapist to work within a multi-disciplinary, short-term Assessment Team based in Wokingham on a full-time basis. The ideal candidate will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of Occupational Therapy and be registered with the HCPC.
The pay rate for this locum Occupational Therapist job is £31.81 per hour (Assignment rate) and is an initial 3-month contract.
Job Summary:
- You will provide assessments for adults with disabilities (and their carers) who require equipment, or minor and major adaptations to facilitate maximum independence in the community.
- You will be part of a supportive team, but will need to manage and prioritise your own workload, and work on your own initiative.
Requirements of the Occupational Therapist:
- Degree or equivalent within Occupational Therapy
- HCPC registered as an Occupational Therapist
- Recent NHS experience either pre or post qualification
- Experience of setting up packages of care, and knowledge of a wide range of assistive equipment, housing adaptations and manual handling techniques.
- Must be a car driver
