Sanctuary Executive is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated Service Lead to fill a full-time role within a Children with Disabilities Service based in the South of England.

The pay rate for this locum Service Lead job is £550 per day (assignment rate) and is a 6-month contract.

Summary:

  • Leading the service designated to working with children, young people and adults with lifelong disabilities, autism and their families.
  • Offer early intervention, build on an individual's strength to develop skills and independence, promote and maintain safety and good health, encourage and facilitate employment, valued roles and relationships within communities and provide a more joined up and coherent experience for the people we work with and enable individuals to live a 'good life' as defined by them.
  • This role will lead operational services designed to secure good outcomes and impact for some of the most vulnerable residents.
  • This role will be responsible for ensuring that work is undertaken to achieve the council`s service outcomes for vulnerable children and young people.
  • The post holder will lead a range of staff and teams as may be assigned at any one time, ensuring that they are able to respond and adapt to the strategic improvement agenda whilst achieving value for money, meeting community needs and securing high quality customer service.

Requirements:

  • Experience of working within a frontline statutory children with disabilities team. You will have knowledge in current issues and themes related to social work with children and families.
  • Self sufficient expertise across the technical/professional specialism at the highest level of proficiency
  • Comprehensive knowledge of complex practices and precedents built on concepts and principles
  • Practical and theoretical knowledge of the political environment of local government and partner organisations
  • Ability to work independently, making sound pragmatic problem solving decisions, which will have a wider service impact, including devising solutions to specific problems of a programme, prioritisation, resource or performance related nature using significant professional judgement and evaluative skills to make effective decisions where 'right' and 'wrong' answers are not available
  • Exceptional, highly developed communication skills to influence and persuade the actions of others in order to construct, evaluate and deliver effective business solutions
  • Effective research and planning skills to construct highly effective complex business critical solutions working on a time horizon of a number of years
  • A recognised professional Social Work Qualification
