Sanctuary Personnel, an award-winning and renowned Recruitment Agency is looking for an experienced and dedicated Senior Staff Nurse to work in Hucknall.
The salary for this permanent Senior Staff Nurse job is £34,895 - £38,298per annum.
Duties:
- Work according to the NMC Code of Professional Conduct and relevant professional guidelines as a named nurse or key worker for a defined group of patients
- Provide clinical leadership to a designated nursing team and ensure the provision of high quality
- Provide a high quality individualised standard of care to a defined group of patients, relatives and carers
- Ensure the effective supervision and development of staff
- Work and act as a key member of the team, supporting each patient with achieving their planned outcomes
- Act as the primary nurse in the assessment of needs and organising of care
- Take charge of a designated clinical area
- Adopt a flexible approach to hours of duty, in order to meet the needs of the service over a 24 hour period
- Act as an advocate to the child or adult ensuring the provision of appropriate information and support services
- Regularly review risk factors and work in conjunction with the MDT to modify care plans as appropriate
- Act as a mentor/preceptor to students/support workers as appropriate
- Liaise effectively with all stakeholders in the care process, including carers and relatives, aspiring to provide an effective, seamless and integrated service to patients
- Deputise for the manager as and when required
- Participating in clinical audit, clinical risk and quality issues, including the management and reporting of incidents
- Communicate all relevant issues pertaining to care
Requirements of the Senior Staff Nurse:
- RGN qualified
- Active NMC Registration
- Previous work within NHS or Private sectors
