What you will do:
– Initial Screening and Assessment: Evaluate all incoming contacts to the Front Door service, determining the necessity for statutory social work intervention.
– Ensuring Child Safety: Prioritise the immediate safety needs of children, taking swift and effective action when required.
– Information Gathering: Work with multi-agency partners to rapidly collect and analyse data to inform effective decision-making processes.
– Threshold Decisions: Utilise the Signs of Safety framework to make well-informed threshold decisions regarding further intervention.
– Collaboration: Engage with various stakeholders, including healthcare providers, schools, and other social services, ensuring comprehensive and effective support.
– Work Environment: Thrive in a fast-paced, demanding environment while maintaining professionalism and composure under pressure.
Requirements:
– Qualifications: A degree in Social Work or equivalent, with current registration with Social Work England.
– Experience: Significant post-qualification experience in social work, especially in a front-line environment.
– Skills: Strong assessment, decision-making, and communication skills. Ability to collaborate effectively with multi-agency partners. Proficient in using the Signs of Safety framework.
