Sanctuary Personnel, a leading and award-winning recruitment agency is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated Senior Social Worker to work full-time based in Beverley, within the Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DoLS) Team.
The pay rate for this locum Social Worker role is £30-£40 per hour (Assignment rate) and is a 3-month contract.
The team are currently remote working.
Duties:
- DoLs signatory acting on behalf of the Supervisory body.
- Review and quality assure the reports of Best Interest Assessors and Mental Health Act Assessors.
- Scrutinise reports and check for evidence that the 6 legal assessment criteria are met.
- Seek clarification from BIA/MHA when evidence is lacking or unclear.
- Check details on Form 5 and complete evidence of scrutiny body sectionand provide justification for authorisation.
- Where the recommended authorisation is not supported by evidence advise the DoLS Team on grounds for refusal.
Requirements of the Social Worker:
- Degree or equivalent in social work
- Current Social Work England registration
- Previous DoLS Signatory experience is essential
- Post qualifying experience with adult social care and safeguarding
- Excellent Mental Capacity Act knowledge
