Sanctuary Social Care has locum vacancy for a Senior Social Worker to work full-time based in Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire - within the Assessment & Safeguarding Team. The ideal candidate will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of social work practice in Children's Services and be registered with Social Work England.
The pay rate for this locum Senior Social Worker role is £29.93 per hour (Assignment rate) and is a 3-month contract.
Duties:
- To manage complex cases, ensuring that the welfare of the child or young person is paramount at all times.
- To carry out assessments and manage childcare plans within government and departmental prescribed timescales and standards, as required by the Team and/or Principal Manager.
- To ensure that children, young people and their families are fully involved in the process of assessment.
- To ensure that service user records are maintained in accordance with departmental procedures.
- To ensure that the department's and authority's resources are deployed efficiently and effectively at all times.
Requirements of the Senior Social Worker:
- Degree or equivalent in social work
- Current Social Work England registration
- Significant senior level frontline experience within Children's services
