Sanctuary Social Care is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated Senior Social Worker to work full-time but would consider condensed/flexible start and finish times, within the Adoption Team based in Coventry. The ideal candidate will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of social work practice in Children's Services and be registered with Social Work England.
The pay rate for this locum Senior Social Worker job is £29.73 per hour (Assignment rate) and is an initial 3-month contract.
Duties:
- Supporting with CPR's
- Writing Later in Life letters
- Reviewing documents
- Liaising with ACE - the regional adoption agency
- Supporting with and coordinating adoption clinics
- Looking at cases and problem-solving
Requirements of the Senior Social Worker:
- Degree or equivalent in social work
- Current Social Work England registration
- Significant senior level frontline experience within Children's Services
- Previous work in a specialist adoption role
- Experience in writing CPR's
- Must understand the ADM process
- Experience of matching
- Good general grounding/understanding
- Experience in doing independent assessment work - writing PARs
- Experience in approving adoptions (adoption panel)
- Lives relatively local - will be in the office probably once per week as well as doing visits
- Car driver
- Good Children's Assessments experience with children who are with/about to be placed in adoption
