Sanctuary Social Care currently has a permanent vacancy for an experienced and dedicated Senior Residential Support Worker to work in South Croydon. The ideal candidate will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of Social Work Practice in Children's Services.
As the post holder of this role, you will receive a competitive salary of £21,000 - £24,000 per annum.
Job Summary:
- To provide advice, assistance and support to young people. To attend to their practical, physical and emotional needs. To act as an appropriate role model and to work closely with them to enable them to address their difficulties and achieve their optimum potential.
Main Duties:
- To undertake a lead role in ensuring the care and welfare of each child in placement.
- To give guidance and support to all Residential Workers.
- To be responsible for the supervision of designated members of staff and to record this in the Supervision Sheet on the member of staff's file.
- To raise any concerns with the Registered Manager as appropriate.
- To plan, manage and lead shifts ensuring children are kept safe and engaged throughout the day.
- To ensure the Placement Plan for each child is followed and adhered to at all times.
- To ensure education is promoted and supported and that each child's attendance in education is maintained.
Requirements of the Senior Residential Support Worker:
