Sanctuary Social Care has locum vacancy for a Senior Practitioner to work full-time within a MASH Team specialising in Radicalisation and Safeguarding in East London. The ideal candidate will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of social work practice in children's services and be registered with the HCPC.

The pay rate for this locum Senior Practitioner role is £35 - £38 per hour (LTD Company Equivalent) and is a 6-month contract.

About the role:

  • The post holder will need to have significant social work experience in children's services. This post will give you the opportunity to take the lead in social work practice and undertaking assessments on radicalisation in East London.
  • Moreover, you will have the opportunity to work closely with the Prevent Team, attend joint trainings, conferences to upskill your knowledge and liaise directly with the Home Office, to undertake independent research into the area of radicalisation and develop and shape practice in East London.
  • This post will report to the MASH manager, be responsible for co-wring cases where there are radicalisation concerns, to support build practitioner's confidence to manage cases.
  • The post holder will attend Channel, contribute to training and be involved in a pilot the MASH is working on with the Home Office around interventions with families, known to police to prevent radicalisation.

Requirements of the Senior Practitioner:

  • Degree or equivalent in social work
  • Current HCPC registration
  • Significant senior level frontline experience within children's services
