Sanctuary Social Care has locum vacancy for a Senior Practitioner to work full-time based in Lewisham, within Fostering Recruitment & Assessment Team. The ideal candidate will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of social work practice in Children's Services and be registered with Social Work England.
The pay rate for this locum Senior Practitioner role is £35 per hour (Assignment rate) and is a 3-month contract.
Duties:
- Supervise a small group of staff consisting of the Enquiries officer, Marketing officer and social workers undertaking fostering assessments.
- Lead on a project that the Local Authority is undertaking to build our capacity of emergency foster carers in response to Covid-19
Requirements of the Senior Practitioner:
- Degree or equivalent in social work
- Current Social Work England registration
- Significant senior level frontline experience within Children's services
- Proven competence in supporting and supervising social workers to complete quality and timely fostering assessments
