Sanctuary Social Care is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated Senior Practitioner to work full-time within a Families First Team based in Bishop Auckland, Durham. The ideal candidate will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of social work practice in Children's Services and be registered with Social Work England.
The pay rate for this locum Senior Practitioner role is £32 per hour (Assignment rate) and is a 6-month contract.
Main Duties:
- Carry out Core Assessments, pre-birth assessments, risk assessments
- Carry out Section 47 Child protection investigations and writing Statements for court
- Complete Section 7 and 37 reports for court
- Represent the authority in court to give evidence
- Carry out home visits for monitoring purposes and to safeguard children
- Keep up to date case recordings
- Convening and chairing core group meetings
Requirements of the Senior Practitioner:
- Degree or equivalent in social work
- Current Social Work England registration
- Significant senior level frontline experience within children's services
